The business of the United States. We've had the highest standard of living in the world because or our freedom, our ingenuity, and our production. 

We need to end the business shutdown at once and all go back to work. Rich people can afford to be foolish longer than poor people, but we aren't rich enough to be this foolish. 

Next to their physical body, a person’s personal freedom is their greatest asset. Freedom is the ability to do what you want so long as you harm no one.  I was in Hungary shortly after the yolk of Russian communism was lifted. When I asked our guide about freedom, she replied, “Everyday we ask ourselves, how free are we?    This is a question each of us needs to ask ourselves in the United States.  “How free are we?”

THE ADMINISTRATIVE ELITE: TODAY’S ROYALTY
We are ruled by bureaucrats, not by elected officials.
This causes us to lose a bit of power and a bit of freedom
every day. We fool ourselves that we go to the
polls and elect people to govern us when, our freedom
and our fortunes are really controlled by an administrative
elite. In the name of democracy we have established
a system of tyranny, which effectively has taken
away our freedom and wasted our treasure.

There are two ways to organize society:
1. Through the force of the state.
These forces are called fascism or socialism. This is the
way of tyranny. Power can be transferred to the state
through a tyrant or through democracy.

2. Through the voluntary actions of individuals.
This is called the free market or capitalism when it
involves business. It is called volunteerism when it
involves helping others. It is the invisible hand.

We worry about National Politics and the Federal
Government. We should be worrying about
what’s happening in our home towns.

“Hell, the local establishment will kill you.” *

Listening to the National News is frightening. We have
537 politicians in Washington D.C. who can’t agree with
each other. Collectively they have almost no support
among the populace of the United States. We worry.

WHERE DOES THIS MONEY COME FROM?

It comes from you. It is a little understood fact that governments
have no money of their own. They only have
what they take from you and from me.

Governments have learned to tax us so that most of us
have little conception of what taxes we are paying and
how much tax we pay. The graduated income tax gives
those not wealthy the feeling that they aren’t much
taxed. The truth is that almost everything you do is
taxed. Even the poorest pay these taxes.

The Politicians sanction the Bureaucrats.
Everybody else gives the Sanction of the Victim.
3. THE TOADIES:

The toadies are the most despicable people in the political
establishment. They are the enablers. They make the rest
of the establishment feel good. They are the grease in the
wheels. Some very nice people are toadies. Some toadies
are wannabe politicians, but not often. Many of them
look down on politicians.

Toadies just want to be part of the political inside.
